Support & FAQ

Answers to the things people ask most. If yours isn’t here, just write to us — a person reads every message.

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Write to therestlessmallu@gmail.com — we aim to reply within two working days.

Once the app is out, it helps to include your device model, OS version, and app version (Settings → About), plus what you expected and what actually happened. Please never email financial details — we don’t need them, and we can’t see your data anyway.

Before launch

When is Byllo out?

We haven’t announced a date yet. Byllo is in development for iOS and Android, and the waitlist is how you’ll hear first — join it on the home page.

What happens to the email address I give you?

We use it once: to tell you Byllo is available. No newsletters, no sharing, no selling. Ask us and we’ll delete it — see Data deletion, or read the detail in the Privacy policy.

What will it cost?

Byllo will be free to download, and the free tier is meant to stay genuinely useful. Byllo Pro is optional — current pricing is on the home page, and the store price at the time you buy is the one that applies.

Using Byllo

Where is my data stored?

On your device. Byllo works without an account, and your bills, income, loans, and balances are never uploaded to us. See the Privacy policy.

How do I back up or move my data?

Settings → Export. You can share a CSV anywhere, save to iCloud on iOS, or save to Google Drive — you’ll only be asked to sign in to Google if you pick Drive.

How do I delete my data?

In short: delete individual entries in the app, use Settings → Delete my data, or uninstall the app. The full version is on the Data deletion page.

Why does Byllo ask about an SMS on Android?

That’s Android’s one-message consent prompt. Byllo can only see a bank message if you tap Allow for that specific message; it’s parsed on your phone to pre-fill a bill, and never uploaded. Say no and nothing changes. The feature doesn’t exist on iOS.

My safe-to-spend number looks wrong.

Safe-to-spend is the income you’ve confirmed, minus upcoming bills, EMIs due this cycle, and any borrowed repayments due before your payday. It only knows what you’ve entered — so check for a missing bill, an unconfirmed salary, or an outdated balance check. It’s an estimate, not a bank feed.

How do reminders work? Can I quiet them?

Reminders are scheduled on your device at the times you choose (Settings → Reminders), with quiet hours available. Byllo never uses shaming language, and you can turn reminders off entirely.

Billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

Through your store account: App Store → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How do refunds work?

Purchases are billed by Apple or Google, so refunds go through them: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google via your Play order history. If you’re stuck, email us and we’ll point you the right way.

Anything else

I found a bug, or I have a feature idea.

We’d love to hear it — therestlessmallu@gmail.com. A person reads every message, and early suggestions genuinely shape what gets built.

I found a security vulnerability.

Please email therestlessmallu@gmail.com with “SECURITY” in the subject line rather than posting it publicly. Include steps to reproduce, the affected version and OS, and the impact as you understand it. We’ll acknowledge within 72 hours, and we’re happy to credit you in the release notes — or keep you anonymous.

Is Byllo financial advice?

No — it’s an organiser. Figures are estimates built from your own entries; always verify against official statements. See the Terms of use.
