Byllo
Data deletion
Byllo keeps your data on your device, so most of it is yours to remove at any time. Here’s how — and how to ask us about anything else.
Last updated: 27 July 2026
Byllo is local-first: your data lives on your device, not on our servers. That makes deletion simple and complete. Today, the only thing we could be holding is a waitlist email address — and one message removes it.
Remove your email from the waitlist
Email therestlessmallu@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, or just tell us which address to remove. We’ll delete it and confirm, normally within a few days and always within 30. There’s nothing else attached to it — no profile, no account, no history.
Delete everything in the app
Either of these removes all Byllo data from your device:
- In the app: Settings → Delete my data → confirm. This permanently erases all bills, income, loans, lent and borrowed records, balances, and settings stored by Byllo.
- Uninstall the app. Because data is stored only in Byllo’s private storage, uninstalling deletes it. If you exported files earlier — CSVs, Drive or iCloud copies — those live wherever you put them, and are yours to delete separately.
Delete a single entry
Open the bill, income, loan, or record → ⋯ → Delete. Deletions are immediate and permanent; there is no server copy to purge.
If you connected Google Drive for export
Byllo only ever wrote the export files you asked for. To revoke its access entirely: Google Account → Security → Third-party access → Byllo → Remove access. Exported files stay in your Drive until you delete them.
Account deletion
Byllo does not require an account, so there is no server account to delete. If optional accounts are ever added, this page will describe how to delete one and how long anything is retained.
What happens to a Byllo Pro purchase
Deleting your data doesn’t cancel a subscription, and uninstalling the app doesn’t either — subscriptions live in your App Store or Google Play account and must be cancelled there. If you reinstall Byllo, restoring your purchase brings Pro back; it won’t bring back the data you deleted.
What we keep, and why
Nothing you enter in Byllo — we never receive it. Separate from your entries, once the app ships, these limited records exist:
- Subscription status held by RevenueCat and the app stores, so a purchase you made keeps working. Apple and Google keep their own transaction records under their policies.
- Crash reports and feature-usage analytics (Firebase), which tell us what broke and which features get used. These are never linked to your bills, amounts, or balances.
The Privacy policy explains each of these in full. To ask about anything not covered here, write to therestlessmallu@gmail.com.
